Operations Associate - Commercial Loan Servicer at Capital One. This role supports the Commercial Loan Servicing Operations Team, focusing on day-to-day loan activity, maintenance, and analytical tasks related to loan accruals and reconciliations. Strong communication skills and collaboration with stakeholders are essential to support change management and delivery of high-quality service. Responsibilities
Perform high volume, complex monetary and non-monetary transactions on Commercial Loans ensuring service levels are met in terms of timeliness, accuracy, quality and customer service. Work independently and collaboratively through projects and day-to-day functions. Utilize lessons learned and previous experience to perform complex research and adjustments to loan system data. Facilitate teamwork and continuity. Maintain strong knowledge and pursue new knowledge proactively. Adapt to change and engage productively with team and stakeholders. Communicate with lines of business partners and other managers regarding loan transactions and exceptions. Manage a portfolio of active credit facilities as the Loan Operations Servicer for Bilateral loans within the Commercial Corporate Banking line of business. Process loan requests (disbursements, pay downs, payments, etc.); interest and exchange rate fixing, interest and fee calculations, billing and liquidations. Directly communicate with customers for all loan-related requests (resolving inquiries, discrepancies, and other special requests). Maintain a high level of service through strong written and verbal communication. Coordinate loan trading activity, including settlement coordination, obtaining required consents, and updating/maintaining the loan register. Work with respective business units and internal partners to align needs and provide support as needed. Manage exception and maintenance reporting for cash breaks analysis, reconciliations of interest, fees, etc. Complete comprehensive testing of system enhancements. Review and extract from legal documents for compliance, interpretation and operational viability. Develop, design, and implement inter-departmental controls and risk-reducing processes to maintain accurate books and records. Prepare and submit periodic departmental and team reports and metrics (daily and above). Establish and maintain Customer Satisfaction as a priority. Manage multiple workflow tools including Gmail, Salesforce, and customer hotline. Work from Home Technology Requirements
A secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions. A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot. A private network that is password protected with access to devices on the network. Internet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provider (ISP). Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria. ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5 Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred. Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met. Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate. Requirements are subject to change as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice. Internet Service Provider specs can change by provider and location within the US. Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles of one of the hub locations (Richmond, VA or Plano, TX areas) and be comfortable coming in person with at least 24 hours notice. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification. At least 1 year of experience in Banking Operations. At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs). Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience. 2+ years of systems experience in ACBS. 2+ years of systems experience in Salesforce. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite. 2+ years of Bilateral Loan Closing or Bilateral Loan Servicing experience. 2+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Operations.
