Direct Care Worker II

Pay Range $50,152.00/yr - $64,763.00/yr (Base Pay)

Overview Full‑time position (40‑hour week, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm). This role provides direct care and support services to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential home setting. The position is staffed 24 hrs/7 days and requires flexibility for mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementation of habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs.

Perform crisis intervention when necessary.

Monitor DSW I staff to ensure they advocate with respect and positive regard.

Attend review meetings and maintain confidential records.

Transport individuals to work, appointments and recreational outings.

Dispense medications per applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Help individuals make choices in their lives; meet personal care and nutritional needs.

Guarantee protocols are followed throughout the tour of duty.

Complete cooking, housekeeping and yard work duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to develop and maintain respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical and empowering relationships with staff and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Capability to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility.

Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Agency Requirements

Pass Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification.

Maintain CPR and First Aid (FA) certification.

Schedule Information Full‑time – 40‑hour weekly position 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Days off – Sunday & Monday.

National background checks, Chapter 234 of the Acts of 2014, fingerprint‑based check.

Verification of college‑level degrees and required licenses.

Compensation & Benefits Salary placement determined by experience, education, and internal compensation structure. Non‑management positions are subject to the collective bargaining agreement and applicable salary provisions.
