in Lenexa, Kansas is a not‑for‑profit continuing care retirement community that offers long‑term care, assisted living, sub‑acute rehabilitation, and home health services. We are searching for a caring and dedicated full‑time Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our excellent team of employees.
Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs medically approved recreation programs to meet physical, social, mental and spiritual needs of the residents.
Responsible for obtaining all supplies and equipment needed, employee and volunteer assistance, and motivating residents to attend.
Executes activities and events that are part of the activity program for residents.
Responsible for regulatory compliance by performing appropriate record keeping and charting by maintaining appropriate files to document compliance.
Facilitates personal interests and social activities for residents, including creating a diversity of opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, and personal routines.
Schedule Monday‑Friday & Every Other Weekend 9a‑5:30p
Job Type Full‑time
Pay Up to \$26.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications
Activities Director Certification required.
CPR certification required.
Minimum two years of experience working in an activity program in the last five years, (one year in long‑term care or related field).
Basic keyboarding skills.
Basic level knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school in Therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.
CDL preferred.
High level of customer service skills.
Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
