Distributor Account Manager - US Consumer Channel Sales

This pivotal role is responsible for driving significant growth across all lines of business with our strategic US Consumer Reseller Partners. You'll be instrumental in expanding Apple's consumer market presence by fostering collaboration, executing strategic account management, and implementing high-impact sales actions across our distribution network and consumer reseller channels.
Description In this role, you will be a critical bridge between Apple, our distribution partners, and key retailers they support. Your mission will be to build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships that drive sales excellence and market expansion. Strategic Partner Management: Cultivate deep, impactful relationships with distribution partner leadership, sales teams, and supporting functions (Supply/Demand, Product Management, Purchasing). Program Orchestration & Optimization: Design, execute, and manage end-to-end distribution sales programs, from strategic planning and execution to performance validation and financial reconciliation, ensuring optimal return on investment. Retailer Growth & Experience: Directly manage key retailers, developing comprehensive account plans that align Apple's strategic objectives with their business goals. Negotiate innovative programs, marketing initiatives, and consumer offers to exceed sales targets and deliver exceptional physical and digital customer experiences. Performance Analysis & Insight: Transform complex business data into actionable insights and compelling Keynote presentations. Influence cross-functional teams to secure support, alignment, and funding for new growth initiatives. Operational Excellence: Establish and lead a rigorous weekly management cadence, ensuring operational excellence across sales, marketing, forecasting, and inventory management for distributors and key retailers. Cross-Functional Leadership: Champion collaboration with internal Apple teams (e.g., Consumer Sales, Accessory/Beats, AppleCare, Demand Planning, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing) to develop and implement holistic strategies that drive consumer sales and unlock innovative growth opportunities within our distribution and indirect retail channels.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in channel sales and/or distribution management, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Advanced analytical skills, proficient in using Excel to derive data-driven insights and inform strategic decisions.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver articulate, compelling presentations (especially in Keynote), translating complex data into insightful and persuasive narratives.
Deep understanding of the distribution process and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with distributors to drive downstream channel sales.
Strong relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with and influencing complex customer relationships at all organizational levels.
Ability to define and drive a rigorous weekly sales management cadence, ensuring execution against key goals and objectives.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to travel approximately 25% per quarter.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience navigating ambiguity with confidence, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and team-building talents to drive creative execution and achieve results.
Proven ability to command a room, adept at navigating, influencing, and negotiating with key executives and decision-makers.
Exceptional presentation skills, comfortable and confident presenting to all levels of management, and collaborating effectively across diverse cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142,200 and $213,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
