Route Sales Driver in Training – Greensboro
Join the Saf‑Guard Safety Shoe Company as a Route Sales Driver in Training (Mobile Shoe Manager in training) and help customers find the best safety footwear.
We are looking for dynamic individuals who understand customer service and take pride in making someone’s day a little better. You will travel to customers’ locations, operate a truck, and personally assist with shoe selection, processing sales, and handling returns.
Salary, commission and expenses included. Benefits worth over $6,000.
Responsibilities
Operate a commercial motor vehicle while complying with all Federal, State, and local traffic laws. CDL license not required.
Stock and maintain inventory in the mobile store in accordance with upcoming appointments.
Coordinate with Sales Manager and account contacts to ensure outstanding customer service before, during, and after appointments.
Set up the “store” at each customer site, including parking, electrical connections, and safety features.
Greet customers, help them choose appropriate shoes, and process sales receipts.
Collect payment and secure signatures for credit card processing.
Handle customer exchanges and returns according to company policy.
Assist with physical inventory and warehouse shipping/receiving as needed.
Requirements
Selling and customer service represent 75% of the role once fully trained.
Enjoy selling and have a strong customer‑service focus.
Must be able to drive a 26‑foot box truck.
Overnight travel is required: on average, 2–3 nights per week with motel and meals paid.
Valid, current driver’s license; DOT physical or drug screen required.
A background check will be performed for driving and personal records.
Bilingual (Spanish) is helpful.
