McCormick Paints is looking for a

Floating Inside Sales Associate

to support our stores across the

Baltimore region .

The Floating Inside Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting multiple stores by providing excellent customer service, supporting daily store operations, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of orders. This position requires active participation in sales, store upkeep, warehouse tasks, and deliveries as needed. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude are essential.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greet and assist customers, assess their needs, and provide knowledgeable product recommendations

Tint, mix, and match paint accurately to meet customer specifications

Process customer orders, including preparing items for both in-store pickup and delivery

Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions, returns, and account charges

Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation

Receive and stock incoming deliveries in the store and warehouse

Load and unload delivery vehicles with paint and sundry products

Make deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and professional service

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and warehouse environment

Participate in regular store cleaning, display setup, and equipment upkeep

Assist with administrative tasks such as updating price books, managing customer account cards, and filing paperwork

Provide operational support across multiple store locations as assigned, based on business needs

Perform other duties as assigned to support the store and sales team

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience is a retail, sales or customer service position

Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints

Good written and verbal communication skills

Bilingual, Spanish, preferred

Ability to work effectively in a customer-centered environment

Attention to detail

Dependability, flexibility and professional demeanor

Energetic and positive attitude

A self‑motivated, engaged, team player

High school degree, or equivalent

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and carry up to 50lbs

Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone

Must be able to pass a background check

A valid driver’s license & clean driving record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Applicants must disclose any physical problems which may interfere with job performance.

Must be able to lift 65 lbs. 5 feet from the floor; balance and load 260 lb. paint drums with drum cart.

Upon delivery, must be able to unload vehicle and carry paint and other products to required site.

May be able to stand for several hours at a time.
