Summary The Strategic Account Manager is the primary customer contact for commercial, institutional, educational and hospitality accounts. This role is responsible for increasing the share of wallet on assigned accounts along with business development of new accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Generate sales related to HVAC replacement and retrofit equipment, system upgrade products, aftermarket parts, supplies and accessories in an assigned account list.
Build and maintain positive relationships with commercial, institutional, educational, hospitality maintenance & purchasing departments and service contractors. Share the value proposition and develop solutions that leads to sales growth and long-term customer year over year repeat business.
Work closely with national account team to implement contracts and national group purchasing agreements.
Analyze the territory and develop, execute, and monitor sales programs.
Implement the CE Sales Management Process, identify a robust pipeline by developing opportunities that produce sales growth.
Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Industrial Distribution or Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly functional in a team environment
Deliver a value based and consultive sales approach.
Sales and growth oriented
Profit driven. Seeks ways to improve sales and increase margins through consultative selling.
Ability to present an effective sales presentation, both written and verbal
Qualifications
Demonstrated performance history in sales and/or new market development.
Experience in working with organizational purchasing and maintenance points of contact.
Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
Strong business/problem solving skills, high sense of urgency and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
Prior work experience and/or internship experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
Knowledge of HVAC, Equipment parts and supplies is a plus but not required.
PC literacy required (Microsoft products)
Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus.
