Essential Functions of the Position Include, but Are Not Limited To:
Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
Increase awareness and drive additional business to specific venue through outreach
Actively solicit new business opportunities by conducting effective sales calls, making off‑site sales calls, mailers, emails and presentations to potential clients
Generate new leads
Generate sales and maximize revenue while developing and maintaining long‑term relationships with clients
Create and maintain positive community relationships
Develop relationship with local industry
Become involved in outside organizations directly related to industry
Monitor sales and continually develop strategies to improve and adjust to changes
Achieve monthly sales goals
Attend local trade shows, participate in sales blitzes and other off‑site sales efforts
Maintain TAO Group Company Standards and exhibit gracious hospitality
Handle initial inquiries in a timely manner
Send information packets, letter writing, email and menu/event proposals to clients
Update TripleSeat daily with tentative and definite business
Special Event Orders – distribute information to Operations Team, including floor plan
Work with Event Operations team regarding set up, staffing, layout, event production needs, etc.
Ensure all accounting paperwork is accurate, responsible for collecting all monies prior to event, and handle invoicing
Sales Manager greets the client, introduces client to the Manager on Duty and assists with the beginning of the event
Attend weekly meetings/conference calls with operation management and sales team to review upcoming events for the week and attend pre‑shift with staff on nights of events
Participate in sales training as directed by Director of Sales
Assist in building the yearly Sales Plan
Understand and assist with monthly revenue reports

Education / Working Knowledge
Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
Basic mathematical skills including AR and P&L statements
Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, databases)
Basic understanding of legal contract language
Interpersonal skills, strong guest/client relations
Analysis and decision making
Written and verbal communication; time management skills
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize in a fast‑pace, high volume environment
Sales ability and persuasiveness
Candidates must be willing and available to work long hours Monday through Friday in addition to weekends
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Minimum 3‑5 years in Event/Sales/Hospitality position
Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
21+ years of age

Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
Must have strong problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must have good positive energy throughout the day
Must be able to read the computer monitors and print legibly
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office
Must be able to push and lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance
Small to Medium office environment
Office, Casino, Nightclub, Bar, Lounge, and/or Restaurant working environment
5‑25% Local Travel (United States)
Work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume
May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
Maintain a professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co‑workers in a professional, courteous manner
