The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Mechanics. Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems failures.
Repair and replace defective parts, components, and equipment using hand and power tools.
Install, commission, and test new manufacturing equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately.
Recommended Qualifications
Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong understanding and adherence to industrial safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Bonus Qualifications
PLC troubleshooting and basic programming experience.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Proficiency with CMMS for data analysis and reporting.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
