In this role, you will work within a defined geographic territory that targets clients and prospects with 1-49 employees. You will identify and sign new clients for payroll, tax, human resources, benefits, and more, and sell additional solutions to existing clients. Daily, you will cultivate relationships, set appointments, gather leads from established business partners, assess client or prospect needs to present the best ADP solutions, and spend your time in the field closing business. No prior sales experience is required; we provide high-quality sales training and use the latest sales technology to set you up for success.

What you'll do: Responsibilities

Grow our business while growing yours—work independently and collaboratively within your assigned geography to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals.

Turn prospects into loyal clients and raving fans—implement a sales strategy targeted to decision-makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.

Deepen relationships across the ADP family—sell cloud-based human resources solutions and cultivate additional business within existing accounts. Build lasting friendships along the way.

Collaborate daily—serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the broader network, while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.

To succeed in this role: Required qualifications

Positive self-starter—upbeat, persistent style, ability to cold call without fear of rejection, manage your time well, and present ideas clearly on paper, in person, and over the phone.

Agile solution seeker—problem solver who can find answers or solutions even in fast-paced change.

Continuous learner—always learning, growing, and questioning how things were done to make them better.

Required:

A college degree is great but not required. What’s more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include one to two years of prior work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Food Service, Insurance Sales, or another relevant industry, or military experience. We recognize and appreciate the unique talents and experience Veterans bring to the table.

Bonus points for these:

Prior quota‑carrying experience.

Ability to successfully build a network and effectively use social media for sales.

Base salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Some positions include additional compensation such as bonus, equity, or commissions. Typical compensation ranges from USD $35,900.00 to USD $77,700.00 per year.*

Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state, and local laws.
