Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a

Resident Service Mechanic

in the field. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956.

About The Position Resident Service Mechanics function as part of the Service Team and are responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment within a designated territory.

In This Role, You Will

Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.

Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.

Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on‑site and during the operation of company vehicles.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field.

Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site.

Minimum 21 years of age.

Clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Above average communication skills.

Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.

Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions

Work in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to customer locations; exposure to varying weather and temperatures.

Frequent work on equipment with potential hazards requiring safety equipment and practices.

Must lift 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds; push/pull up to 100 pounds.

Stand, walk, twist, climb, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, or squat regularly.

Operate a van/truck to and from customer locations.

Wear safety glasses and safety shoes.

Physically capable of performing all job aspects safely.
