Parts Specialist Power Distributors, LLC is the Sales and Distribution arm for Briggs & Stratton, the leading manufacturer of air‑cooled gasoline engines and parts for outdoor power equipment. Briggs & Stratton engines are incorporated into products for both the consumer market and industrial/commercial applications. Power Distributors also manages the sales and marketing of Briggs & Stratton Power consumer & commercial generators and pressure washers, and distributes Oregon Equipment Parts, Oregon Forestry products, and other allied parts lines.

Summary of Duties This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is located in our Columbus, OH office. The Parts Specialist focuses on all brands of replacement parts for engines and outdoor power equipment, optimizing inventory and developing competitive parts programs for our customers.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor the entire parts inventory across all brands to identify overstock issues and improve inventory turns

Conduct competitive program analysis and tracking

Identify and develop cross‑reference material

Collaborate with the in‑house Education team to develop product training material for internal and external users

Partner with the Marketing department to develop and implement parts programs

Collaborate closely with the Sales Group, including regional travel to visit customers

Requirements

OPE industry experience is required; applicants without direct OPE experience will not be considered

Knowledge and experience with OEM and aftermarket parts reference systems

Experience with industry‑specific software such as PartSmart, JD Point, C Systems, and others

Strong communication and analytical skills

Proven analytical ability to gather, manipulate, and analyze data; report findings and make recommendations

Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail

Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills

Capable of making presentations in a group setting

Position Type / Expected Hours

Full‑time position located in the corporate office. Days and hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
