Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Provide verbal and written communication with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Calculate and give correct monetary change.
Perform tasks with rapid, precise movements that involve motor coordination between eyes, hands, and fingers.
Training Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Work Conditions
Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature inside and outside the store.
Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes.
Cramped quarters such as walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to maintain rapid and precise movements.
Good depth perception and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Capability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
