We are building meaningful careers and vibrant communities. This role supports the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation, with responsibilities including coverage for other merchandisers and liaison duties between customers, merchandisers and drivers.
Responsibilities
Fills, merchandise, and rotates products on display and shelves according to procedures and special programs; provide vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser.
Manage, sell, and execute with an assigned group of customers on daily routes; generate sales orders to ensure day-to-day operation success and contribute to revenue, volume, and gross profit.
Execute applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, LOS initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to achieve high RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned customers.
Organize and maintain back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor; manage returns of pallets, damaged and out-of-date product to the branch.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials; rotate product; support Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; verify vendor operations as needed.
Foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
Identify and communicate competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business and perform duties in a safe manner.
May be the first point of contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage and act as liaison among customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overload.
