Be a part of history! The Naval Academy is actively recruiting for tour guides. In this role you will be able to share the story of the Academy to our visitors and be an ambassador for Naval Academy Guide Services. The Tour Guide functions as an ambassador for the USNA by giving guided walking tours of the public facilities and grounds. Responsibilities

Conducting public and group tours and welcoming domestic and international visitors into the USNA. Providing accurate and interesting information on USNA history, midshipman life and the USNA Complex. Maintaining a working knowledge of current events involving the USNA and the City of Annapolis. Adapting tours to groups of different ages and cultures to provide interesting, informative and entertaining experiences. Learning a variety of tours: Historical, educational, leadership, military reunion, Jewish Chapel, Navy Way Boot Camp and other specialty tours designed for pre-formed groups. Attending staff meetings, training programs, certification seminars and familiarization tours as required by the ALVC. Facilitates as needed when large groups are on the Yard, to include the Chapel and the Crypt of John Paul Jones during the spring educational tour season. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance – requires 18 years of age Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Verification of employment eligibility in the United States is required Probationary period: Flexible employees are employed based on the needs of the business Must be able to understand and communicate in English
