Renewal Executive (Group Benefits) – Boston, MA
The Renewal Executive will strategically shape our renewal efforts, building strong broker and client relationships while achieving key persistency and renewal targets. Competitive salary, performance‑based bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package are included.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $65,000 (Renewal Executive) or $75,000 (Senior Renewal Executive)
Monthly sales incentive plan and annual bonus potential
401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match
Work‑life balance with vacation, personal time, and paid holidays
Travel up to 50% of the workweek; valid driver's license required
Hybrid office environment in Boston, MA
Responsibilities
Present and sell renewals, including rate increases, to align with company objectives
Analyze case demographics, claims data, and financial performance to negotiate renewal rates and achieve retention goals
Identify and pursue add‑on sales opportunities to support financial targets
Resolve complex client issues and requests through effective problem‑solving
Attend benefit fair meetings for select groups, providing valuable insights
Conduct in‑person renewals with key broker and client accounts to solidify partnerships
Build, nurture, and manage relationships with internal partners, brokers, and broker‑firm staff to drive successful negotiations and renewals
Qualifications
Successful sales or account‑management experience in group voluntary benefits and/or renewal, demonstrating consistent target achievement
Strong communication and collaboration skills with brokers and internal teams
Excellent prioritization ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities and strategic thinking to drive sales success
Must be eligible for licensed agent/producer status within 90 days of hire
Travel up to 50% of the workweek required
Valid driver’s license and ability to work from the Boston, MA office in a hybrid environment
