Your Day at Lowe’s You will welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service.
Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
Down‑stock merchandise by replenishing supplies in empty zones.
Process orders and deliveries accurately to meet customer expectations.
Cross‑functionally train in other store areas to enhance service.
Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
Guide customers through checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience using a computer for data entry, access, modification, or output.
6 months experience with common retail tech such as smartphones and tablets.
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
Ability to stand, sit, and perform required physical activities for the job.
Minimum lift of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months retail or customer‑service experience.
Bi‑lingual skills.
Certification related to department trade (hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn & garden, lumber / building materials).
Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores.
Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location, including inside and outside weather. Exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions is possible. Constant or intermittent noises and equipment movement may occur. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 lbs; team lifts used minimally at 75 lbs or when needed.
