Superior Industrial Equipment is a regional distributor of pumps, vacuum pumps, blowers, and mechanical seals headquartered in Sycamore, IL, with an additional location in Grimes, IA. The company offers services including new equipment inventory, after-sale parts inventory, factory-authorized repairs, field service, and engineering support. Superior Industrial Equipment also specializes in manufacturing single-pump and integrated multi-pump skid packages with controls, instruments, piping, valves, and tanks. Their manufacturing facility is dedicated to producing skids and new equipment packages.
Role Overview This is a full-time on-site role located in Central, IL, for an Outside Sales Engineer. The role involves developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and providing solutions that meet their equipment and service requirements. The Sales Engineer will analyze technical specifications, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts. In addition, responsibilities include generating new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Sales and customer relationship management skills, with experience in building and maintaining strong client partnerships
Technical knowledge related to pumps, vacuum pumps, blowers, and mechanical seals
Analytical and problem-solving skills for reviewing technical specifications and providing appropriate solutions
Presentation, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively convey technical and product information
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
Experience in industrial equipment sales or a related field is a plus
