Strategic Account Manager

and lead HVAC/R contracting opportunities.

Responsibilities

Develop relationships with decision makers and uncover HVAC/R contracting opportunities.

Listen to customer needs, create programs and projects to meet them, and manage the full business process from conception to completion.

Compile and manage a sales plan for the district.

Provide total account business reports and annual forecasts.

Validate preliminary information, conduct facility walkthroughs and estimate project or service agreements by integrating equipment, controls, subcontractors and services.

Prepare, negotiate and review agreement/project scope and propose final proposals.

Ensure customer retention through service agreements, repairs, retrofits, replacements and routine visits.

Present proposals or contracts to key stakeholders and negotiate scope of agreement or project.

Prepare transition documents and communicate project readiness to operations.

Conduct cold calls on new and existing accounts related to new construction and remodels for supermarket refrigeration and assist in project development.

Coordinate distribution or movement of project/service to the customer while collaborating with store managers, maintenance personnel, and service teams.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 5–8 years of related experience.

Strong communication, organizational and time‑management skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Flexibility to work outside normal hours as needed.

Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC preferred.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Travel within the region as required.

Leadership and business acumen.

Must reside within commuting distance of a Hussmann branch office and a major international airport.

The salary range for this role is $71,197–$142,610 annual. Compensation varies based on experience, location, and qualifications. The role may also include discretionary bonuses and incentives.
