Territory The Molecular Account Executive will ensure the assigned territory meets or exceeds Diasorin sales objectives. Work with the Regional Sales Director to identify and evaluate market opportunities, establish and achieve sales objectives within assigned accounts, negotiate contracts, and drive high customer satisfaction through collaboration with support teams. Territory includes New Mexico and Arizona; ideal candidate will live in the Phoenix or Tucson area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The achievement of Diasorin's annual financial goals and profitable revenue growth within the defined geographic territory. Primary ownership of assigned customer targets within geographic territory.
Achievement of annual Instrument and Reagent sales objectives across Infectious Disease and Genetics product lines in targeted Diasorin markets.
Advance Diasorin's Molecular Diagnostics business with clinical diagnostic customers; develop, implement, and execute strategic business plans with key accounts and KOLs.
Lead the critical stages of the Sales Lifecycle within the assigned customer base.
Identify opportunities by gathering key decision-making criteria, qualifying, and understanding customer goals (personal and professional).
Develop product and financial solutions by understanding customers' goals and laboratory situations.
Conduct and present workflow analyses, product information, and financial justification to create customer value and commitment.
Act as Diasorin's primary business consultant, leading the full spectrum of sales activities and negotiations.
Negotiate to achieve win-win, solutions-based outcomes for stakeholders and ensure agreement with the Contract Department's policies.
Support the implementation of specified product lines from order to go-live and beyond.
Collaborate with Molecular Applications Specialists, Strategic Accounts, and Scientific Affairs to grow reagent sales and address ongoing customer needs.
Build and manage customer relationships within the assigned geography. Prepare accurate Salesforce forecasts, account data, territory business plans, and sales reports to meet quotas and product mix objectives.
Develop and execute regional business plans that align with account-specific plans, strategies, and regional business drivers.
Plan and organize total territory coverage/management strategy; coordinate with sales leadership, Strategic Accounts, and Regional Marketing.
Coordinate and deploy Diasorin resources to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
Maintain controlled document copies in the Diasorin electronic document control system.
Lead development of stakeholder relationships to enable profitable growth with customers.
Develop and implement territory strategies and tactics to achieve annual growth objectives.
Develop long-term customer alliances to support capital sales activities (prospecting, qualifying, account management, and sales support).
Work with the Mdx Regional Sales Director, Strategic Account team, and other functions to define territory segment strategies for Infectious Disease and Genetics lines.
Act as project manager to drive sales and marketing activities with customers (education, training, collateral, outreach, and study opportunities).
Promote, price, and position the Diasorin molecular portfolio.
Execute customer experiences and events to grow and stabilize market development regionally and nationally.
Strive to achieve molecular account executive goals and accelerate go-lives for instruments and reagents.
Collaborate with Regional Marketing on strategic positioning and market development.
Maintain routine forecasting, account profiling, record keeping, and Salesforce data on a weekly basis.
Meet administrative requirements on time (e.g., expense reporting, weekly activity reports, business plans, forecasts).
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required; B.S. preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a healthcare-related field (diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or consulting) with 3–5 years in sales and marketing (Molecular preferred).
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Familiarity with key accounts in the defined territory and established relationships with key opinion leaders; knowledge of market drivers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of building internal and external relationships and teams.
Knowledge of internal/external market factors and their impact on the industry.
Ability to plan and organize, with project management skills and results in matrix environments.
Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and capital equipment sales skills.
Working Conditions and Travel
Offsite position – frequently.
Ability to handle pressure of meeting tight deadlines – frequently.
When not traveling to a customer site, work is normally performed in a home office environment – frequently.
Travel: 70% or more of the time may be required.
