Who You Are We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to join our Industrial IoT team, specializing in embedded networking products. This role focuses on driving sales growth within federal and industrial sectors, leveraging expertise in embedded solutions and industrial IoT technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with federal customers, understand the unique requirements of industrial environments, and possess strong knowledge of Cisco’s embedded product portfolio.
Location Anywhere US Remote
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute sales strategies for Cisco’s Industrial IoT embedded networking products, including routers, switches, and security solutions designed for harsh and mission‑critical environments.
Engage with federal government customers and contractors, understanding their specific needs and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that address industrial IoT challenges such as secure connectivity, asset visibility, and operational technology (OT) security.
Drive adoption of Cisco’s embedded products aligned with open standards and ruggedized designs suitable for industrial and defense applications.
Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through deal closure, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and Cisco’s Industrial IoT portfolio, including embedded switches and routers.
Support federal sales initiatives by adhering to government procurement processes and security protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven sales experience in Industrial IoT, embedded networking, or related technology sectors, preferably with federal or defense customers.
U.S. citizenship is required due to federal customer engagement.
Security clearance is highly desirable and considered a strong advantage. Must be able to achieve a security clearance.
Strong understanding of industrial networking, embedded systems, and cybersecurity in operational technology environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet customer and business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Cisco’s Industrial IoT portfolio and embedded networking solutions.
Experience with ruggedized, open‑standard embedded products compliant with U.S. Department of Defense requirements.
Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and government contracting processes.

Salary The starting salary range posted for this position is $257,600.00 to $344,800.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate’s hiring location, market conditions, job‑related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
Benefits
10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non‑exempt employees.
1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year‑end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco.
Non‑exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full‑time employees.
Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations).
80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next.
Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
