Location: Dubuque, IA — 4141 Westmark Drive, Dubuque, IA 52002.

Primary Purpose of the Role Analyzes reported leave requests including Family Medical Leave (FMLA), unpaid state, military and company‑specific claims to determine eligibility and certification based on client plans, state and federal regulations. Ensures ongoing claim management meets company service standards and industry best practices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Establish and track FMLA and other unpaid leave claims; log documentation according to internal workflow processes.

Analyze claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with client plans and regulations.

Review claim information, identify action plans, determine benefits due, and make timely case decisions within established service expectations.

Communicate decisions and ongoing expectations clearly and professionally to claimants and clients via phone, written correspondence, or claims system.

Maintain professional client relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Meet the organization’s quality program minimum requirements.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education & Licensing High school diploma or GED required. State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is beneficial.

Experience One (1) year of administrative/general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. FMLA administration experience preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations

Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and claims systems

Analytical and interpretive skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Excellent interpersonal skills

Judgment based on well‑defined policies and procedures

Team‑oriented mindset

Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies as required by the program

Work Environment

Mental:

Clear conceptual thinking, excellent judgment and discretion, stress resilience, and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Physical:

Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while operating a computer and phone system. Travel as required.

Auditory/Visual:

Hearing, vision, and the ability to communicate verbally.
