Temporary Data Entry Clerk – Douglas County, Nebraska
This temporary position requires a typing test (valid for six months). Applicants must take the typing test; the first and last name entered on the test must match exactly the names entered in the application. A failure to match may result in the score not being recorded.
Essential Functions Wide range of duties including entering voter information, answering the telephone, and assisting customers. Additional duties are assigned by the department coordinator.
Education, Work Experience and Requirements
Ability to type 40 net words per minute.
Must be a registered voter or eligible to register to vote.
Must have computer experience and possess strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Work is performed indoors in an office setting and occasionally on site at county locations. Noise level is usually moderate.
Standard day‑shift hours; sometimes varied hours, overtime may be required.
Requires physical activity: extended periods of walking and standing, occasional climbing, reaching, carrying, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and bending. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Requires vision, hearing, and touch. Must be able to operate computers and other equipment.
