National Machinery
Tool and Die Maker - 2nd or 3rd Shift
Position at National Machinery.
Base pay range: $26.00/hr - $34.00/hr.
Job Overview We are looking for experienced machinists to join our skilled workforce for the 2nd or 3rd shift. This position involves operating various machine tools and producing high‑precision parts in the cold‑forming industry.
Candidate Profile
Currently in machining/previous machining background looking for the next step in their career.
Self‑motivated, goal oriented with good time management.
Basic computer skills, willingness to learn multiple CAD/CAM programs.
Willing to learn many different machine tools and processes, taking parts from start to finish with close tolerances.
Able to work independently and make independent decisions while using creative problem solving and decision skills.
Proficient with all types of metric measuring tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop sketches, knowledge of GD&T.
3‑5 years machining experience including vocational training.
Basic knowledge with programming, setting up and running CNC equipment.
Basic knowledge of manual type machines e.g. OD/ID grinders, lathes, surface grinders.
Preferred Qualifications
Tool & Die experience in the cold‑forming industry.
Can program CNC equipment using Gibbs, ESPRIT capable of reading and editing G & M machine code.
Experience with lapping/polishing finished parts.
High level of dexterity and mechanical abilities.
Machining, inspection, and assembly skills of tooling components.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Shop environment.
Steel‑toed safety shoes and safety glasses required.
Must be able to regularly lift loads up to 50 lbs.
Schedule
Standard 8‑hour shifts, 150% paid anytime over 8 hours daily, hours over 45 in a week are paid as double time.
