We are supported by a 24/7 in-house call center and provide scheduled and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime. The role is for a Senior level position:

Sr. Mobile Diesel and Trailer Technician , responsible for licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light and advanced repairs, diagnostics (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic), and other duties as assigned. The Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician is relied upon for advanced diagnostics and triage, often acting as the lead on jobsites and functioning as a consultant on the customer\'s behalf. A successful Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician complies with all company policies and achieves high-level performance metrics. Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.

Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.

Diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, air conditioning, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.

Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments like handheld computers and pressure gauges.

Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.

Identify problems, evaluate information, and generate/assess alternatives with sound judgment.

Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.

Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.

Work with and listen effectively to clients to assess needs and provide information or assistance, resolving issues or meeting expectations.

Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work and time allocations effectively.

Use hand tools, precision instruments, Diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.

Document work according to company standards and upload pictures of work, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using the TRAIT application on an iOS device.

Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.

Work independently and manage daily schedule; maintain high productivity and aim to meet standard repair times.

Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for repairs.

Communicate with management and support team to obtain approvals on repair estimates and discuss RO findings.

Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Maintain the service truck and conduct safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education/certification; or 5 years’ related experience.

At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.

Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.

OEM training and certifications are preferred.

ASE L2 preferred but not required.

Participate in and complete all required company training.

Must comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations and pass a DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.

Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical; if four months or less remains, a DOT physical will be required.

Age 21 or older due to interstate operating authority regulations.

Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File.

Skills & Abilities
