Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW The SBA Loan Underwriter underwrites and processes SBA loan requests.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports credit lending decisions by analyzing SBA loan requests, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of SBA loans

Ensures all information is accurate and complete. All guidelines, policies and procedures, and regulations are to be followed

Creates financial spreadsheets and analyzes, structures, and underwrites loans

Develops cash flow from tax returns

Originates loans from application to closing and works closely with Escrow, Title, and all parties involved

Monitors and reports delinquencies

Performs periodic portfolio maintenance

Prepares loan compliance reports

Timely collection of financial updates

Conducts site visitation

Manages new and existing clients

Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge on credit analysis

Ability to work on multiple loans simultaneously

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Effective written, verbal, and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SBA

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4‑year University

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
