Junior Loan Officer - Callaway County, Missouri
Community Bank | Ag & Commercial Lending Focus
A well‑established, locally focused bank serving Callaway County and mid‑Missouri is seeking a Junior Loan Officer to join its growing team. This position is ideal for an early‑career professional eager to learn commercial and agricultural lending from the ground up. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced lenders, gain hands‑on experience in credit analysis, and build relationships throughout the local business and ag communities.
Base pay range $40,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
What You'll Do
Partner with senior ag and commercial lenders to learn lending processes, market strategies, and compliance regulations
Support credit analysis and underwriting for commercial and ag loans
Develop, expand, and retain business relationships through proactive calling and community engagement
Cross‑sell the bank’s full range of financial products and services
Analyze applicants’ credit history and repayment capacity to help structure sound loan packages
Negotiate credit terms and collateral requirements consistent with bank policy and market conditions
Review new laws and regulations impacting business lending and assist in implementing best practices
Represent the bank in the community through active participation in civic and business organizations
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
Banking or internship experience preferred (credit or lending exposure a plus)
Strong analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Eagerness to learn and grow within community banking
Interest in serving the Callaway County agricultural and small business markets
