Overview
Universal Supply Co., a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, operates locations in five states (CT, DE, NJ, MD, PA) providing professional builders with roofing, siding, windows, doors, cabinetry, millwork, and fasteners. The Yard/Warehouse Rep I is an entry-level position responsible for receiving, stocking, shipping, ordering, and counting inventory, and for the safe operation of a forklift to stock lumber and building materials. The role requires adherence to work and safety procedures and a commitment to a positive work environment. Responsibilities
Operate forklift safely and in accordance with established procedures. Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials; count and record receipt. Stock all materials in appropriate bins or storage locations; assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials. Build outgoing orders or load completed orders onto delivery equipment as needed. Assist warehouse associates and direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work area; keep bays and staging areas clean and organized; perform other duties as assigned by management. Provide excellent customer service; communicate effectively with customers, other employees, and supervisors. Perform basic facility operations and operate equipment (e.g., bander, power tools, hand tools) as necessary. Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety standards; participate in and complete assigned trainings. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. No experience required. Ability to perform basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms. Ability and willingness to learn to read a tape measure. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers using verbal and written skills. Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems. Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g., smartphone, inventory control systems, and other business applications). Benefits and Opportunities
