Packaging Operator-PM at Saputo Inc. Saputo is a global dairy processor focused on high-quality products, investing in our people, and supporting communities. This is a night shift position working 6pm-6:30am on a 2-2-3 schedule. Starting salary $22.52/hr, with an additional $2/hr on nights. In the USA, Saputo ranks among the top three cheese producers and is a leading producer of extended shelf-life and cultured dairy products, with brands such as Stella, Frigo Cheese, Montchevre, Stella, and Treasure Cave. You will contribute to manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality assurance, or related functions and work alongside colleagues who care about your success. Responsibilities

Safe and efficient operation of production packaging equipment, including automated case forming and packaging equipment. Set-up, operate, and replenish fiber gluer and/or taping equipment. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in detail without deviation. Generate pallet identification labels according to the production run schedule; verify case quantity, product, product ID, and production dates. Set-up case coding equipment and validate product case codes per code specifications. Verify and record accurate product case quantities. Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product conditions; follow the established notification protocol. Perform routine equipment adjustments. Safely operate a lift truck. Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents. Perform equipment change-overs, cleanup operations and equipment setup. Perform environmental controls and product reclaim/rework in accordance with reclaim guidelines. Qualifications

Minimum of two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing; dairy experience preferred. Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required. Working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.). Lift truck certification or ability to obtain certification (Powered Industrial Truck). Strong math and technical skills; ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels, and mechanical operations. Physical lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
