University of Florida - Seasonal Part-time Brand Ambassador (Must attend University)

Position Summary The Adult Beverage Brand Ambassador generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases adult beverage product sales through event sampling and promotion. The individual will interact with consumers, clients, customers, and is responsible for understanding and implementing promotional techniques. This position will perform a wide range of activities ranging from brand promotion, training, product merchandising, and selling of products and services.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities - Brand Awareness & Sales

Create brand awareness and positive impressions of the product by engaging consumers through sampling/distributing product and demonstrating product features.

Interact with consumers, establishing positive impressions.

Ensure brand talking points are communicated effectively with consumers.

Seek sales opportunities in departments throughout the store and other venues to maximize sales.

Successfully complete minimum shift requirements, typically 3 hours or more.

Develop, formulate, and maintain strong communication links with customers.

Build and sustain relationships with key accounts and staff within assigned areas.

Event Set-up and Breakdown

Build promotional kits for all events in the designated shared storage unit.

Responsible for event set-up, sampling, and program breakdown.

Ensure the demonstration area is clean, organized, and correctly set up according to the instructions provided.

Provide feedback to the Market Manager to improve sales of all brand products.

Travel and/or Driving Requirements This role requires traveling to and from stores. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple stores in one day.

Area of Experience

Must be 21 or older due to the dispensing of alcohol.

Must be able to successfully complete required Responsible Alcohol Training prior to executing events.

Significant experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, or retail/grocery is highly desirable.

For college-based Brand Ambassador roles, candidates must be currently enrolled at the college where the position is located.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Reliable means of transportation.

Daily access to a personal computer with internet/email access (not company provided).

Must be available to work Wednesday‑Sunday evenings.

Passion for meeting new people and evangelizing outstanding products.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with management.

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Ability to make oral presentations.

Environmental & Physical Requirements Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in the on‑premise and off‑premise environment (retail stores, bars, restaurants) as well as special events (stadiums, venues, hotels, etc.), which may include working in variable temperatures such as refrigerated areas, freezer sections and outdoor venues. The position typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday performing activities such as engaging in considerable physical activity, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, standing on feet for long periods, using consumer goods products, and preparing and serving food and beverages safely as appropriate for the product demonstration.
