Today, Careington has expanded to offer a growing portfolio of 150+ health, wellness, lifestyle and virtual health products and services designed to deliver cost savings across a spectrum of life needs. Through its affiliated nationally licensed third-party administrator (TPA), Careington International also delivers full-scale administrative services, including customer service, licensed enrollment, claims administration, individual and group billing.
This position will require you to work onsite within one of our Frisco, TX offices 3 days per week.
About the Corporate Communications Team
The Corporate Communications team partners closely with Marketing to develop and execute strategic communications for Careington, its affiliate companies, and clients. The team includes communications leadership, PR specialists, proposal and content experts, and copywriters. Corporate Communications and Marketing report to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute public relations strategies that strengthen brand reputation, visibility, and thought leadership across Careington companies
Create, write, and edit high-quality PR content across multiple channels, including press releases, media pitches, case studies, white papers, executive bios, articles, newsletters, web content, presentations, webinars, and speaker proposals
Lead PR support for new initiatives, campaigns, and company milestones
Manage media relations efforts, including researching opportunities, pitching stories, securing placements, negotiating media buys when needed, and tracking performance metrics
Maintain PR assets such as media lists, press kits, calendars, and reporting dashboards
Support reputation management initiatives, including monitoring sentiment and online reviews, responding when appropriate, and escalating issues internally
Assist with crisis communications planning and execution
Research, submit, and track local and national awards and recognition opportunities for company leadership and brands
Identify and secure speaking engagements at conferences, trade shows, webinars, and industry events
Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, Project Management, and campaign teams to deliver integrated communications
Support internal communications initiatives, including Town Halls and company events
Monitor industry trends and emerging topics to inform timely, relevant content and PR opportunities
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
Experience in public relations, media, or communications preferred but not required
Strong writing and editing skills with a solid understanding of AP Style
Ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, channels, and tones
Strong news judgment and ability to identify compelling story angles
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of digital and social media strategies preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
