Role Overview Product Designer – Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid) – $80,000–$90,000

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Manager and Engineering Tech Lead to drive end‑to‑end product discovery, ensuring solutions are valuable, usable, feasible, and viable.

Cultivate deep user empathy using qualitative research methods (interviews, contextual inquiry, journey mapping).

Synthesize complex research into clear, actionable problem statements (Points of View).

Build prototypes of varying fidelity to test ideas and iterate designs.

Conduct user testing to validate and refine solutions, ensuring usability and desirability.

Translate research and decisions into actionable insights for leadership and cross‑functional teams using visual storytelling tools.

Champion simplicity and consistency, advocating clear interfaces that reduce cognitive load.

Display documented experience in product design with a portfolio highlighting product discovery and validation.

Apply user‑centered design principles and select appropriate research methods for specific objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

3‑5 years of design experience with strong learning agility.

Familiarity with Jobs To Be Done methodology.

Proficiency with Figma.

Experience contributing to or leveraging design systems.

Experience navigating product discovery in regulated environments or with strong governance.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in ideation and concept generation techniques.

High proficiency in prototyping tools and techniques across fidelity levels.

Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and storytelling skills.

Agile experience with continuous refinement based on feedback.
