Who you are:
The Brand/Store Manager leads the store team to deliver exceptional customer experience and manage store operations, including budgeting, personnel, inventory, and visual merchandising.
You inspire staff, build relationships with clients, and elevate the store’s atmosphere to reflect the brand’s luxury positioning.
This role is at the Nordstrom location in Nashville.
What You’ll Do:
Manage all aspects of retail store operations.
Lead by example to deliver industry‑leading customer service and build guest loyalty through the in‑store experience.
Resolve customer service issues using best‑in‑class practices and provide detailed, thoughtful responses.
Serve as a market expert on competitive environment, talent recruiting, and strategic positioning.
Achieve goals for sales, inventory KPIs, performance management, and payroll timekeeping.
Observe client interactions and provide feedback to ensure a tailored, memorable experience.
Coordinate staff training programs to enhance product knowledge, customer service, sales technique, and stock management.
Set realistic sales objectives for staff, review them, and identify improvement areas.
Assign responsibilities, monitor team performance, and conduct year‑end staff evaluations.
Build a bench of future talent and identify potential successors for the store.
Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff to maintain optimal staffing levels.
Analyze sales and inventory reports, communicate findings to domestic and international partners.
Partner with Merchandising and Buying teams to ensure product availability meets customer expectations.
Oversee stockroom operations to maintain inventory accuracy and storage standards.
Execute quarterly inventory processes and meet company‑defined KPIs.
Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Maintain visual merchandising standards, refresh displays based on sell‑through data.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a comparable luxury retail role.
Proven ability to meet business goals through strong team leadership.
Excellent network‑building and client cultivation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
Capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Availability for a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
