Business Development Representative (Major Markets)

Sales Representative, Major Accounts.

In this role, you will sell human resources technology within a designated geographic territory to cultivate new business opportunities and drive strategic discussions around Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives for companies with 50–999 employees. You will manage complete sales cycles, sell ADP's suite of solutions (40+ products and services) to executives, and accurately forecast your sales pipeline. ADP supports you with continuous sales training and the latest technology to set you up for success as you manage your book of business.
You'll spend most of your time selling in the field. You will also document and manage multiple sales cycles, holding through implementation until your new business is up and running. As you close deals, you'll reap rewards with industry‑leading compensation, benefits, luxurious incentive trips, and awards. Leaders will back your desire to pursue advancement and provide continual sales training.
What you'll do (Responsibilities)
Grow our business while growing yours by working independently and collaboratively with teams within your assigned geography to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals.
Turn prospects into loyal clients and raving fans by implementing a sales strategy targeted to decision‑makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.
Deepen relationships across the ADP family by strategically cultivating additional business within existing accounts and building life‑long friendships.
Collaborate daily as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the overall network while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.
To Succeed in This Role (Qualifications)
Proven winner with an impressive track record of closing sales, winning clients, and managing a territory.
Positive self‑starter with an upbeat, persistent style and the ability to cold call, manage time well, and present ideas clearly on paper, in‑person, and over the phone.

Education and Experience College degree is great but not required. Other acceptable experience includes:
Two or more years of quota‑carrying, outside B2B sales experience.
Three or more years of relevant experience in HCM, technology, business equipment, uniform, or software sales.
Military experience: we recognize and appreciate the unique talents and experiences veterans bring to the table.
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)
Ability to successfully build a network and effectively use social media for sales.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $56,100.00 – USD $121,500.00 / Year. Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state, and local laws.
