Working with the Design Principal and design team, the Interior Designer is a creative knowledgeable in all phases of high‑end, residential interior design from initial design concept to installation. This position requires an in‑depth knowledge of design, showrooms, drafting and space planning, and custom furniture design. This position requires critical thinking and independent judgment during daily interactions with peers, clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on all phases of high‑end, residential interior design from initial design concept to
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively while integrating a high degree of attention to detail, organization and problem solving.
  • Draft floor plans, elevations, furniture plans, and renderings.
  • Sourcing and researching products, finishes/materials, fabrics, furniture, etc.
  • Document specifications and create cutsheets.
  • Assist with preparing client presentations and image sheets.
  • Project organization and administration - meeting notes, update task list, project binders, follow up on action items.
  • Request information and quotes from vendors, create proposals and purchase orders, track

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or working on a degree) in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Three, plus, years of experience in the interior design/architecture field.
  • Team player with a positive can‑do attitude; flexibility, organized, resourcefulness & dependability.
  • Extreme attention to detail and the ability to take direction.
  • Experience and comfort working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with software & technical skills: AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), 3D modeling software to create SketchUp quality renderings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive can‑do attitude; flexibility, efficient, resourcefulness & dependability.
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including architectural/interior finishes, lighting, FF&E, furniture systems and specifications.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
