Intake Release Specialist
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Intake Release Specialist. This position involves clerical work in the intake and release of inmates at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility. Required document: Each applicant must complete a NOTARIZED Background Investigation Waiver. Failure to submit this document will disqualify your application. The waiver must be notarized and submitted with the pre-screen application. Applications must be submitted before the closing date of January 20, 2026. Typical duties include maintaining filing systems on inmates, distributing arrest packages, entering court proceedings, preparing inmate paperwork for release, answering telephone calls from the public, reviewing arrest affidavits, and performing all other duties as assigned or required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, three (3) years experience in a secretarial or data entry environment, ability to type at the prescribed rate of speed, and must be able to become NCIC/FCIC certified within six (6) months of employment. Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other requirements include regular and prompt attendance, knowledge of FCIC/NCIC operations, ability to work independently, and working conditions in a confined office setting with direct inmate contact.
