About the Role Tilden is seeking a reliable and outgoing Farmers Market & Event Associate to represent us at farmers markets across the Boston area, starting with the SoWa Open Market and potentially expanding to additional markets. You’ll be the face of Tilden for market shoppers – offering samples, sharing our story, and selling products using our mobile point-of-sale system. This role requires comfort working independently, enthusiasm for engaging with customers, and a commitment to maintaining a polished, organized booth. This is a part-time position with 2 markets/events per month to start, with opportunity for more if desired. Responsibilities Pick up product, signage, and materials from a storage unit before each market. Load in and set up the booth (tent, tables, displays, product) at the market. Sample Tilden non-alcoholic cocktails and share product information with customers. Sell product using the Shopify POS system on your phone; handle cash and manage change as needed. Track sales and inventory throughout the market. Pack up the booth and return materials and product to storage after the market. Represent Tilden warmly and professionally, embodying our brand values. Schedule Confirmed SoWa Open Market Dates (Boston, MA) Sunday, May 11 Sunday, July 13 Sunday, August 17 Sunday, September 14 Sunday, October 12 Market Hours: 11:00am–5:00pm Load-in: 9:30am–10:00am | Set-up: 10:00am–10:30am Expect 8–9 hours of paid time per SoWa market day. Additional markets may be added after discussion; hours and locations vary. Requirements Reliable transportation (car required to transport materials). Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds (for loading/unloading materials). Prior experience in customer service, retail, events, or food/beverage a plus. Comfortable using a smartphone for POS transactions (Shopify experience a bonus). Organized, dependable, and able to work independently. Comfortable standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Enthusiastic, personable, and excited to represent Tilden’s brand and products.
