We are currently looking for a Filling and Packaging Operator to join us at our facility in Brighton, MI. Summary: Filling, labeling, and packaging of products according to written packaging requirement list. Working alone or with team members to operate or tend machines to prepare industrial refinishing products for storage and shipment. Key Responsibilities:
Filling Labeling, and packaging of products, according to established guidelines and standards, in a safe and efficient manner. Proper completion of job sheets with correct counts. Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations. Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications. Machine set up and teardown. Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items. Operation of powered pallet jack. General housekeeping of work area. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations of the organization, including reporting hazards, incidents, or accidents. Key Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Problem Solving skills. Ability to speak effectively and communicate with Supervisor and co-workers of organization. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Other hard qualifications (e.g., key knowledge needed, technologies, etc.
