Location: Kirby Rd MD Job Req ID: 15345 About the Role: Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Scale Clerk to support operations at our Kirby Road location in Clinton, MD. This position is responsible for accurately weighing inbound and outbound aggregate materials, processing scale tickets and documentation, and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient scale operations. What You'll Accomplish: Operate the truck scale to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles accurately. Record and verify weights of materials such as sand, gravel, and stone. Prepare tickets and invoices for customers and drivers. Collect and process payments or confirm charge accounts. Communicate with drivers, plant operators, and dispatch to coordinate loads. Maintain daily logs and reports of shipments and scale activity. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures at the scale house. What We're Looking For: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Required Work Experience:
Minimum 6 months - 1 year of experience Attention to detail: Accurately records weights, tickets, and payments. Strong basic math skills: Correctly calculates weights, totals, and invoices. Good communication skills: Speaks clearly with drivers, customers, and coworkers. Reliability and punctuality: Shows up on time and can be depended on daily. Customer service skills: Remains polite and professional, even in busy situations. Computer and data-entry skills: Uses scale software and office systems efficiently. Ability to follow safety rules: Understands and enforces site safety procedures. Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
