Annapolis Micro Systems is seeking a detail‐driven, process‐minded Shipping and Receiving Specialist to execute daily inbound/outbound shipments and supplies while improving and scaling processes as volume increases. Key Responsibilities: Inbound/Receiving Handle daily small parcel deliveries. Coordinate, schedule, and receive large freight deliveries. Perform accurate material receiving, inspection, and reconciliation against POs and packing slips. Perform receipt of technical documentation (Certificates of conformance, Plating Certificates, Material Certificates, etc.) per order requirements. Ensure compliant handling, labeling, and storage of sensitive/high‐value parts. Maintain dock safety. Maintain inventory of all receiving materials. Outbound/Shipping Plan, package, and ship domestic/international to include both small parcel deliveries and freight shipments. Prepare and verify technical documentation and ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements. Prepare packing slips verified against sales orders to ensure accuracy of quantity and product information. Implement secure packaging standards for sensitive hardware products. Maintain inventory of all shipping materials. Drive deliveries to vendors and customers as needed. Process Improvement & Scalability Map and improve shipping and receiving workflows to support volume growth while coordinating with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Quality, and Engineering. Improve packaging and facility improvements to increase efficiency and quality while coordinating with cross-departmental stakeholders. Work with Business Support Manager to develop KPIs to track and drive improvements to efficiency and quality. Manage carrier relationships, tracking, claims, and performance metrics. Compliance & Safety Enforce ESD controls, cleanliness, FOD prevention. Maintain clean, safe, and organized docks and material handling zones. Requirements Minimum bachelor’s degree Experience with Microsoft Office Suite US Citizenship Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Driver’s license Desired Technical Background: Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems or other database systems Hands‐on experience in shipping and receiving procedures Ability to problem solve and adapt to evolving project requirements, technologies, and business needs Ability to follow rigorous protocols and comply with proper handling of sensitive and high‐value products Experience in any of the following fields: computer hardware, aerospace, manufacturing is a plus Desired degrees: Supply chain, logistics, business administration, accounting, statistics, Forklift Certification, OSHA certification a plus Company Description Annapolis Micro Systems, Inc. was founded in 1982 as a center of excellence in electronics research and design.
