We’re looking for a hardworking
Maintenance Technician
to join our team in central Ohio. This full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position offers a stable schedule with no on‑call rotation.
Responsibilities
Effectively prepare vacant units for re‑occupancy
Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair, as directed
Assist with resident relation issues
Maintain knowledge of make‑ready inventory and inform supervisor of needs; keep supplies stocked
Maintain accurate records of make‑ready status and work‑in‑progress
Maintain cleanliness of uniform, badge and professional appearance
Assist in organization and safety of maintenance shop and key control as per policy
Maintain overall condition of property, including exteriors, common areas, vacant units, floor care, trash removal, surrounding building(s), litter pick‑up, janitorial duties, sidewalk cleaning and snow removal
Clean/restore recently vacated apartments, change bulbs, locks/keys
Install or assist with installation of appliances
Exterior/interior painting, caulking, light drywall repair
Physically manage painting, pressure washing, blower services, parking lots
Perform plumbing repairs
Walkthrough vacant units to forecast repairs; create punch lists or quality control checklists; assist with removal of trash/belongings; perform quality control on all systems and aesthetics
Assist in prepping units for painting (breakdown & put‑back of electrical components)
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience
Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems and electrical systems
Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures and techniques
Available to respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management and attention to detail
Compensation $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
