Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook/Server to join our culinary team at Signal Mountain Senior Living. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, ensuring that our residents receive great-tasting and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities Culinary Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
Manage food storage, inventory, and waste in accordance with procedures.
Assist in meal preparation for special occasions and events.
Service Duties
Serve meals to residents in a friendly and professional manner, helping to create a pleasant dining experience.
Provide assistance to residents during mealtimes as needed, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
Clear tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment.
Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and their families regarding meal options and any dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
Previous experience in cooking or food service, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional needs of seniors is a plus.
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent service to our residents.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
