Sprinkler Fitter (Interior Projects – Remodel)

Job Responsibilities
Represent Allied Fire Protection in a professional manner
Work with other team members to ensure good customer experience
Monitor emails and text messages and return communications in a timely manner
Read plans and interpret information needed to complete project – install fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
Notify supervisor/manager immediately of any conflicts in job scope
Become familiar with job sites and scope for assigned projects
Do not complete work or services outside of defined scope without permission of manager
Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to complete project
Supervise/train apprentices/helpers
Other duties as assigned

Safety first and hold yourself accountable for all safety initiatives
Ensure timely and complete submission of JSAs, toolbox talks, audit forms, etc.
Ensure timely and accurate incident and accident reporting
Hold yourself accountable for safe driving of company vehicles and adherence to stop‑work authority
Complete all training requirements – safety, certifications, etc.
Submit accurate timesheet – job numbers/names, OT and travel pay, and support transition to electronic timesheet submission
Ensure all required documents are complete, accurate and professional, with required signatures
Manage inventory – review, update, and approve packing slips, and manage material properly
Maintain equipment, trucks, lifts, tools, etc., in proper condition
Keep jobsites clean and organized
Be aware of budget versus actual labor hours and communicate proactively with superintendent
Support and ensure adherence to company SOPs – purchase orders, change orders, etc.
Be timely – arrive at job on time, maintain attendance, communicate with supervisor, complete paperwork
Respond to customer satisfaction survey feedback and pursue improvement opportunities
Maintain quality control to reduce return trips and warranty work
Maintain a professional appearance and effective communication within the department and with internal and external customers
Demonstrate teamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team and local office
Knowledge
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required; related experience and/or training acceptable
Safety focused and ongoing training for best quality
Ability to maintain ongoing required continued education, professional licenses, and/or certifications as required for the position
Work Experience
Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
Fire sprinkler installation experience with new construction or remodel projects
Experience cutting steel pipe for installation
Skills And Competencies
Detail‑oriented with excellent organization skills
Valid state driver's license and good driving record
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; basic familiarity with computers and computer operations
Effective communication with peers, supervisors and customers
Familiarity with NFPA occupancies and spacing requirements
Proper documentation on provided electronic device for work performed
Maintain company vehicles and equipment per AFP vehicle policy
Good math, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Basic to moderate computer skills desired
Ability to follow specific directions (written/verbal), perform a changing variety of duties, repeat short tasks according to set procedures, and work within precise limits and standards of numerical accuracy
