Responsibilities
Provides hands‑on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals which will enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living which may include communication, social, recreational, and leisure activities, self or personal care, household management, travel, work‑related or vocational opportunities, money management, etc. in accordance with an individualized plan of service, and following all safety considerations.
Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each person's self‑sufficiency in the areas of independent living
Promotes agency mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
18 years old
HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred
If driving is required, reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
