Leads Component development mechanical fabrication, assembly, and debug activities to ensure successful delivery Identifies areas of risk and work quickly to prototype and mitigate these Engages with component suppliers to specify and acquire quotes Performs 3D design and GD&T drawings of complex parts and assemblies Performs Design for manufacturing analysis Optimizes designs via analytical, numerical, and/or empirical assessments Performs self-guided R&D around novel pack structures and mechanical design Performs any additional duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Preferred Experience

3D modeling experience using NX and Teamcenter Hands‑on experience in leading hardware designs from conceptual design through proof‑of‑concept Hands‑on experience performing component testing, including test plan ownership and model correlation Experience working in an R&D prototype development environment Familiarity with small‑volume manufacturing technologies and methods, and experience working with outside suppliers for same Experience with design for manufacturing analysis for stamping, casting and plastic injection molded components Structural analysis of metals and/or composites, including test data processing, loads derivation and fatigue analyses Experience with design for challenging environmental conditions in terms of vibration, water intrusion, corrosion, and thermal Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills Licenses & Certifications
