Job Summary
Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, Business Development & Technology, the primary responsibility of this position is the development and capture of profitable business from the assigned customer set in North America. To be successful in this role, it is essential that one draws on all available resources to accomplish the following on a continuous basis:
Key Responsibilities
Contribute strongly to the overall strategy to achieve preferred supplier status with assigned accounts
Organize and execute higher level sales initiatives that support the account strategy
Identify and communicate with all potential customers in the assigned customer set
Identify needs within the customer set that the Company can address
Recommend and promote possible solutions to their needs
Identify and qualify opportunities for orders
Document qualified opportunities to Company Business Office for response
Work with Business Office to develop strategies and tactics for capture of qualified opportunities and for maximizing profitability of such opportunities
Support Business Office as required in preparing quotes and proposals and delivering/presenting them to the customers
Follow through on all quotes and proposals to final disposition
Maintain dialogue with customers and Company team during order execution
Follow up with customers after order delivery to determine satisfaction and opportunity for follow‑on business
Assure ongoing support of the installed base and help maximize sales of service and support to the assigned customer set
Perform routine internal reporting of status of assigned Strategic Accounts, and of all opportunities and proposal efforts
Support company strategy to develop new business in the EW, New Space and other adjacent markets.
Support development of after‑market business in Service, support and upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering
10 years’ experience minimum with proven track record in Sales
Experience and proven skills in: Selling high technology product, and Solution or system selling
Sell effectively at multiple levels of a customer’s organization
Strategic thinker that can provide leadership to Strategic Account Team
Verbal and written communication skills
Team player that will provide help wherever it is needed to get the job done
Due to the nature of NSI‑MI Technologies’ programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export‑controlled information and source code.
This position requires domestic and international travel, 30% or greater.
