Overview This role is the first step toward becoming an Account Manager. While you’ll start by coordinating work and supporting existing accounts, our goal is to help you grow into a sales‑focused Account Manager who leads customer relationships and drives new opportunities. Responsibilities
Assist the account manager in all functions: sales, correspondence, customer relations, project coordination, scheduling, drawing review, and estimation.
Proactively pursue preventative maintenance contracts and service sales.
Review and understand contractual scope and project documents (drawings, submittals, equipment operations, and maintenance manuals).
Oversee management of materials, equipment, tools, information, and subcontractors.
Assist with cost projection and management.
Promote and uphold McKenney’s safety absolutes, best practices, and company culture.
Participate in project planning and execution to maximize SQPCE performance.
Act as a company ambassador by marketing and promoting consistent and excellent project implementation.
Understand, practice, and promote all company values and operational procedures.
Requirements
High school or equivalent.
A degree in Engineering or Construction Management or at least 5 years of HVAC or Plumbing experience/vocational training.
Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheets, e‑mail, Web‑enabled applications, and database software.
Preferred Requirements
Technical school.
Trade school.
Bachelor’s degree.

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical, and electrical‑related hazards, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
Work requires local and occasional out‑of‑town travel to job sites and customer locations.
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and to negotiate work areas under construction.
