Responsibilities
Maintain existing business and acquire new business profitably for existing and new product lines.
Serve as a conduit to the rest of the organization and the Global Account Manager (GAM). Actively participate on the selling team with the GAM, complete pre-sale opportunities exploration and screening, gather competitor intelligence, develop and maintain customer contacts, and work with business and GAM to develop technical data and COO models to persuade customers to evaluate materials.
Serve as opportunity project manager to ensure evaluation and qualification are completed on time, including sample tracking and feedback analysis.
Ensure no technical, process, or commercial issues block new opportunities by collaborating with the customer and business product teams to meet commercialization requirements in a timely fashion.
Interface between the business, GAM, and selling team regarding technical requirements and direction to support development of new products and/or enhancement of existing products.
Understand customers' technology roadmaps and forward plans and fully understand the integration of the products into the process in collaboration with GAM.
Manage customer expectations for a reliable supply line and address gaps in product line service, technology, and quality with FFEM contacts at manufacturing plants. Escalate supply-line issues to GAM and keep management informed.
Use appropriate systems for samples, price entry, and material returns, and manage forecasts and communications of customer material and long-term forecasts. Drive change management with the customer through cross-functional teams to minimize supply chain disruption.
Demonstrate leadership and teamwork, integrating with GAM, other US account managers, operations, and business teams.
Position based at a key customer location in Oregon or at an FFEM plant site; significant travel to customers and FFEM sites is required.
Requirements
A minimum of a technical BS degree with an advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferable in Chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or a related discipline.
At least five years of progressive fab or applications engineering experience in a world-class, results oriented organization with a proven track record of success. Experience in Semiconductor electronic materials strongly preferred.
Direct SEMI materials’ sales experience strongly desirable.
Strong planning, project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Possess strategic orientation and influence management skills.
Must embrace learning and demonstrate ability to self-educate and be trainable.
Ability to understand markets both in technical and competitive context.
Ability to set priorities and develop practical plans.
Good business acumen. Ability and drive to lead and participate in cross functional teams.
Demonstrated ability at problem recognition – able to start with nothing and create value.
Unquestioned character, values, and integrity.
Work location in Arizona, or key customer location in Oregon.
Requires travel up to 25-50%.
