Account Executive – Commercial Lines
Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our Eau Claire office. The Account Executive manages a book of business, services existing client accounts, and assists agents in providing insurance products for existing and prospective clients with a goal of building relationships while delivering exceptional customer service focused on customer retention. Qualified candidates will be licensed and have 5+ years of commercial lines experience.
Requirements
Knowledge of insurance products, rating, and underwriting procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical thinking, business acumen and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills including the ability to document and access information in an electronic system
Ability to follow existing processes, procedures, and verbal instruction
Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately, efficiently, and independently
Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
License and Certification Requirements
Valid WI driver’s license and acceptable driving history
Current Property & Casualty Resident Intermediary license granted by the State of Wisconsin
Responsibilities
Independently manage a book of business not assigned to an agent
Prepare submissions and market new/renewal business to appropriate carriers
Respond to all day‑to‑day inquiries and service issues for assigned clients
Provide coverage recommendations and collect exposures from clients and prospects
Maintain agency management system with up‑to‑date and accurate information
Serve as liaison between client and vendors/carriers to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities
Track, manage and document open issues keeping the client and agent informed of status and resolution
Quote, analyze, compare, and recommend coverage options for clients
Manage renewal timeline to ensure timely execution of client decisions
Prepare summaries of insurance, renewals, schedules, and proposals
Review client contracts and policies for accuracy
Support Agents with new and renewal business presentations as needed
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication
Communicate and educate clients on latest industry trends, issues, and changes
Attend client meetings as required
Organize tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established procedures
Make decisions on a variety of tasks frequently requiring discretion, judgment, and initiative guided by general procedures or standards
Respond to incoming phone calls and emails promptly and effectively
Perform basic office functions including emailing, filing, scanning, copying, and faxing
Deliver exceptional customer service according to our Customer Service Standards with a goal of exceeding customer expectations with every interaction
Promote a customer‑focused environment by providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to internal and external customers
Answer customer questions and resolve complaints in a timely and efficient manner
Support a team-oriented environment by interacting in a professional, collaborative, and respectful manner with all employees, clients, customers, and/or vendors
