Overview
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a key contributor within digital and TV station sales, driving revenue growth and meeting departmental objectives by expanding digital sales revenue and collaborating with sales executives and station leadership.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute go-to-market sales strategies and tactics that exceed personal and company revenue targets.
Establish, maintain, and grow meaningful client relationships.
Assist sales executives in generating new digital marketing services business and expanding existing client relationships.
Monitor campaigns and provide recommendations to clients in partnership with Sales Executives.
Create reports for presentation to existing clients alongside Sales Executives.
Participate in corporate sales conference calls and events.
Meet weekly with the GSM to review campaigns and revenue.
Requirements & Skills
BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications preferred.
3+ years of experience in digital marketing or media sales.
Extensive knowledge of local digital marketing service offerings and effective client utilization.
Motivated, enthusiastic, self‑starter who works effectively both independently and within a team.
Effective communication and client presentation skills.
Ability to interact with high‑level decision makers.
Proficiency in executing organization‑wide collaboration through a consultative process.
Excellent follow‑up, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
Active contributor in sales meetings on digital marketing topics (e.g., best practice sharing, industry trends).
Effective partner with the sales team to generate digital revenue.
